A Day in Ocean Adventure and Zoobic Safari

Toddler’s age: 1 year and 6 months It has been quite a while since we last came to Subic. For us, it had always been only a quick lunch or dinner stop. For this trip, we were looking for a short distance drive with attractions that Summer can enjoy. She was over a year old and it always made us so happy to see her curious and excited about the new things that she sees. We stayed for two nights at the center of Subic to make restaurants and the stores accessible to us. Ocean Adventure First stop was Ocean Adventure located right beside Camaya Beach Resort. It is best to arrive early because their big parking space can fill up quite fast especially on weekends and on holidays. Admission was for the whole day so if you would like to make the most out of the park, it might be easier to stay in Camaya Beach Resort so the whole family can go back and forth if anyone needs to rest. Taal Volcano Trek

Baby’s age: 9 months At 8:00am, we parked our car in the boat club and booked an outrigger boat to the jumpoff point. The trail to the peak of Tall Volcano is relatively easy and is good for beginners. There is also an option to ride a horse for those who do not want to walk. I was not able to make initial research about the hike so I was less prepared this time. I expected the trail to be shady but it was dusty and hot. The foldable umbrella that we brought saved us, especially Summer who disliked wearing hats at this age. Russ carried Summer in front using her baby carrier so she can enjoy the view. She was quiet all throughout, staying awake the whole time. Because we knew it would only be a short trip, trail food were only some cut up pears.
